The ISO has chosen January 16, 2018 for the rescheduled Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resource Phase 3 workshop to further vet policy issues and items to be considered for the initiative scope. This meeting is a continuation of the prior workshop held on November 6, 2017, which reviewed the three main topics addressed in the issue paper; demand response, multiple-use applications, and the non-generator resource model.
The ISO is relying on stakeholder input from both workshops to prioritize which topics to include in the straw proposal, scheduled for publication February 2018.
Stakeholders interested in presenting at the workshop, please email James Bishara at jbishara@caiso.com by January 9 that you are interested, and submit your presentation to him by close of business January 11. After the event, please submit comments on the meeting materials and discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business January 24.
