ISO’s Reliability Coordinator, RC West, Announces its Rate/MWh, July 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019
The California ISO has determined the rate per megawatt-hour (MWh) for its Reliability Coordinator (RC) customers taking services from RC West beginning July 1, 2019.The rate was calculated based on the 2019 RC funding requirement for July 2019 through October 2019, divided by the prorated 2017 MWh as provided by the RC customers in their service agreements with RC West.

RC charges to customers outside of the California ISO Balancing Authority Area will be invoiced under charge code 5701 - Annual RC Service Charge Amount. For customers within the California ISO Balancing Authority Area, RC charges will be invoiced under charge code 5705 - RC Services Allocation Amount.
The RC charge for the July 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019 period will be included on the January 2, 2020 RC invoice published in the MRI-S application. The invoice will also include the RC charges for the periods November 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, and January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. The ISO intends to publish the associated payments calendar for RC service invoicing on the Settlements webpage located on the ISO website by mid-July.
