The ISO will hold a public stakeholder meeting on September 17 to discuss the draft final proposal for the interconnection process enhancements initiative. The afternoon discussion will focus on technical aspects of the proposal on ride-through requirements for inverter-based generation.
The draft final proposal will include the following topics: Affected Participating Transmission Owner, Ride-through Requirements for Inverter-based Generation, Maximum Cost Responsibility for Network Upgrades and Potential Network Upgrades, and Reliability Network Upgrades Reimbursement Cap.
The following topics will be taken to the September Board of Governors meeting and will not be readdressed in the draft final proposal: Transmission Plan Deliverability Allocation (including all combined topics), Change in Deliverability Status to Energy Only, Options to Transfer Deliverability, Replacing Entire Existing Generator Facilities with Storage, Suspension Notice Modifications, Eliminate Conditions for Partial IFS Recovery upon Withdrawal, Project Name Publication, and Timing of Fuel Type Changes.
An agenda and presentation, along with the paper, will be available prior to the meeting on the initiative web page at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/InterconnectionProcessEnhancements.aspx. A notice in the Daily Briefing will announce when the paper is posted. Stakeholders or other interested parties should sign up for the Daily Briefing, a once-a-day
email summarizing that day's notifications.
If planning to attend in person, please RSVP by end of day September 13. A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO's permission.
