The ISO has posted an issue paper to kick off the third phase of the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources (ESDER) initiative, which is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/IssuePaper-EnergyStorageandDistributedEnergyResourcesPhase3.pdf.  A stakeholder call is scheduled on October 12, 2017 to review and discuss the paper.

The ESDER Phase 3 initiative will continue to identify and evaluate opportunities for increased participation of transmission grid-connected energy storage and distribution-connected resources in the ISO market.  Unresolved topics suggested by stakeholders in the prior ESDER Phase 2 initiative will also be considered in this phase.

Please submit written comments on the issue paper to initaitivecomments@caiso.com by close of business October 18.
