The California ISO has posted the Unified Planning Assumptions and Study Plan for the 2020-2021 Transmission Planning Process to the process webpage at http://www.caiso.com/planning/Pages/TransmissionPlanning/2020-2021TransmissionPlanningProcess.aspx.
The posting of the study plan completes Phase 1 of the planning process and initiates Phase 2. The ISO will conduct the technical analysis during this phase of the process with the preliminary reliability assessment results to be posted on Aug. 14, 2020, and a stakeholder meeting to review the results scheduled for Sept. 23-24, 2020. A schedule of meetings and activities is listed in the study plan.
In addition to the identified next stakeholder meeting, the ISO is considering holding another stakeholder meeting prior to the release of the preliminary reliability assessment to provide an update on the studies and information on the study approaches and methodologies. The ISO will issue a notice announcing a meeting when the agenda and schedule is finalized.
