The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder call on Jan. 29, 2019 to discuss the processes and methodology for the 2020 flexible capacity needs assessment and availability assessment hour study. The ISO uses the assessment to determine the quantity of flexible capacity needed for the upcoming resource adequacy year and how this quantity is allocated to local regulatory authorities (see tariff section 40.10.1 for additional detail regarding the ISO study).
