2022 Import Capability Allocation and Transfer Registration Process |
MESSAGE
The California ISO assigns import capability for resource adequacy compliance purposes to load serving entities (LSEs) based on load ratio share, while respecting certain existing contractual and/or ownership arrangements known as pre-RA import commitments and new use import commitment, pursuant to ISO tariff section 40.4.6.2.1. The ISO permits import capability transfers if the counterparties are “registered” with the ISO.
The following information must be submitted electronically to reliabilityrequirements@caiso.com with “2022 Import Allocation Section 40.4.6.2.1” referenced in the subject line by June 17, 2021 for the 2022 allocation process.
- Scheduling coordinators for LSEs serving load within the ISO Balancing Authority must submit:
- New templates have been developed to be used with new use import commitments.
- Contact information for the person responsible for import capability transfers, including name, company, address, telephone, fax, and e-mail
- All other market participants wishing to engage in import capability transfers must submit:
- Contact information for the person responsible for import capability transfers, including name, company, address, telephone, fax, and e-mail.
