The ISO is hosting a stakeholder meeting on April 25, 2017 to discuss the third revised straw proposal for the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources (ESDER) Phase 2 initiative. The proposal will be posted by close of business April 18.
In the third revised straw proposal, the ISO addresses four topics: (1) demand response enhancements, (2) distinction between charging energy and station power, (3) non-generator resource enhancements, and (4) multiple-use applications.
As a reminder, the central focus of ESDER is to lower barriers and enhance the ability of transmission grid-connected energy storage and distribution-connected resources (i.e. distributed energy resources) to participate in the ISO market.
If planning to attend in person, please RSVP by close of business April 21 at http://www.rsvpbook.com/ISOStakeholderMeeting2017.
Prior to the meeting, a presentation and agenda will be posted on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/EnergyStorage_DistributedEnergyResourcesPhase2.aspx.
Please submit comments on the third revised straw proposal to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business May 5.
