The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder web conference on May 27, 2020, to discuss the draft final proposal for the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources (ESDER) Phase 4 initiative. The paper incorporates stakeholder input from the March working group and meeting for the second revised straw proposal. The final agenda topics include updates to the proposals for the default energy bid for storage resources, and the end-of-day and end-of-hour state of charge parameter(s). In addition, the ISO and E3 will review the informational Effective Load Carrying Capability (ELCC) study for demand response, including study results and a potential allocation methodology for resource adequacy.
The paper, as well as a presentation, will be available prior to the meeting on the ESDER initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/EnergyStorage_DistributedEnergyResources.aspx.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the call will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the paper and discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by end of day June 10.
