The California ISO is pleased to announce it will be hosting its Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) stakeholder meeting both in-person, at its Folsom headquarters, and virtually to discuss and obtain stakeholder feedback on the design elements of the straw proposal and governance topics on May 25-26, 2022. The straw proposal will be published in late April on the EDAM initiative webpage and communicated in a public notice along with additional meeting details.
Stakeholders should register for the meeting no later than May 20, 2022. Early registration is encouraged since in person capacity will be limited on a first come first serve basis. The ISO is looking forward to hosting this meeting in-person at its headquarters in Folsom. However, in keeping with our ongoing commitment to protect the safety and health of our employees and stakeholders, we are monitoring COVID cases and the BA-2 variant, and will comply with federal and state regulatory guidelines, including possibly adjusting our plans as necessary to a virtual-only meeting.
The market design straw proposal, which was developed from the valuable input of stakeholders, will be published in late April to give stakeholders ample time to review the proposal. This proposal will describe the different elements of the EDAM design informed by concepts, ideas and perspectives shared during the stakeholder working groups held between January and mid-March. Stakeholders are welcome to participate in this meeting and encouraged to provide their preliminary feedback and ask questions for an engaging and productive discussion. Stakeholders will also have an opportunity to submit written comments on the proposal, which will be due by close of business June 9. Please use the online template located on the initiative webpage
