Generation Deliverability Assessment Methodology Proposal Update |
SUMMARY
In response to stakeholder comments, the California ISO has delayed the implementation of the revisions to the generation deliverability assessment methodology presented to stakeholders on Nov. 16, 2018 and Dec. 18, 2018, from Q1 2019 to Q1 2020.

MESSAGE
The ISO held a stakeholder call on Dec. 18, 2018 to offer a more in-depth review of the proposed revisions to the generation deliverability assessment methodology originally discussed in the 2018-2019 transmission planning process meeting on Nov. 16, 2018. Stakeholder’s written comments were generally supportive of the proposed changes, but raised various concerns regarding impacts to other processes and existing generation, recommending the ISO take more time to address these concerns.
The ISO has considered these comments and decided to delay implementation of the revised methodology and instead continue to apply the current methodology in studies required by the Generation Interconnection and Deliverability Allocation Procedures for Cluster 11 phase 2 and Cluster 12 phase 1 efforts. Further stakeholder engagement on this topic is planned for the second quarter of 2019. |
