The California ISO rescheduled the Hybrid Resources Phase 2-B initiative implementation from the Spring 2022 Release schedule to the Fall 2022 Release. Due to ongoing summer readiness activities, the tools that are necessary for the Phase 2-B implementation will not be available until the fall timeframe. Additional details regarding the project timeline will be provided in an upcoming Release User Group meeting.
A document, Hybrid Resource - Interim Participation Options, is available on the ISO Learning Center webpage to help provide options for hybrid resources to participate in the market until the features of Hybrid Resource Phase 2B are available.
The ISO will submit an authorization request to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to delay implementation of these market rules. Subject to receiving that authorization, the ISO will inform stakeholders of its new target implementation date.
