The California ISO will hold a public working group meeting on July 22, 2019 to discuss the issue paper for the new Hybrid Resources initiative. Please submit written comments by August 5.
As generation developers become increasingly interested in pairing energy storage with existing or proposed generation, this initiative will explore how such “hybrid” generation resources can be registered and configured to operate within the ISO market. This initiative will develop solutions allowing developers to maximize the benefits of their resource’s configuration. Hybrid resource configurations also raise new operational and forecasting challenges that ISO plans to address during this initiative.
A presentation, along with the paper, will be available prior to the meeting on the initiative web page at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/HybridResources.aspx.
If planning to attend in person, please RSVP by July 18. A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the working group discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business August 5.
