The California ISO has launched its Interconnection Process Enhancements 2021 initiative and scheduled a public stakeholder workshop webinar on Oct. 19, 2021. This initiative will evaluate potential changes needed to enhance the ISO Generator Interconnection and Deliverability Allocation Procedures (GIDAP).
The purpose of this workshop is for the ISO to present the problems and issues presented in the ISO’s preliminary issue paper for this effort. The paper outlines the topics that the ISO intends to include in the initiative and to frame issues that the ISO considers important considerations for enhancing the GIDAP to more effectively handle the changing landscape the GIDAP is facing. The paper is available on the new initiative webpage.
The workshop will also provide an opportunity for stakeholder input and perspectives on the problems and issues presented in the ISO’s preliminary issue paper for this effort. Stakeholders interested in presenting their perspectives and input on potential enhancements to the GIDAP are encouraged to contact the ISO at isostakeholderaffairs@caiso.com no later than Oct. 8, 2021. Interested parties will be asked to submit presentation materials for the workshop, which will be due by end of day October 15. The ISO will provide an introductory presentation on the topic during the workshop. The presentation will be available prior to the workshop on the
initiative webpage.
The workshop will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the preliminary issue paper and workshop presentations and discussion by end of day Oct. 28, 2021, through the ISO’s commenting tool, using the link on the initiative webpage above.
