The California ISO will hold an informational stakeholder call on March 1, 2022, to discuss the competitive solicitation process for the Western Los Angeles Basin Black Start Service Request for Proposal. The call is intended to provide opportunities to discuss the technical, commercial and contractual requirements for parties interested in providing Black Start service in the Western Los Angeles Basin as well as the selection and evaluation criteria that will be used in evaluating Black Start Service proposals.
A presentation will be posted prior to the call, on the miscellaneous stakeholder meetings webpage.
The web conference will be recorded and the video file will be posted to the above link for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Questions will be taken during the call. Following the call, questions may be emailed to the Black Start Competitive Solicitation mailbox, BlackStartCompetitiveSolicitation@caiso.com. The ISO will then post a weekly Q&A log, during the duration of the open bid window. In addition, prior to the call, the ISO will post black start specifications, and a sample Black Start contract and commercial worksheet, along with the meeting material on the webpage linked above.
