The ISO has extended the schedule for the Commitment Costs and Default Energy Bid Enhancements initiative to allow more time to address stakeholder comments. Because of the extended schedule, the ISO will take the draft final proposal to the January 2018 EIM Governing Body meeting instead of October and to the February 2018 ISO Board of Governors meeting instead of November.
A more detailed schedule will be included in the revised draft final proposal, which the ISO intends to release in late October.
The purpose of this initiative is to evaluate the ISO’s bidding flexibility design and whether modifications to its design should be pursued so there is sufficient bidding flexibility. More information on this initiative is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/CommitmentCosts_DefaultEnergyBidEnhancements.aspx.
