The ISO has scheduled a technical working group meeting for the Commitment Costs and Default Energy Bid Enhancements initiative on August 3, 2017. California ISO recognized stakeholder requests for additional design details in comments received on its straw proposal for the following scope items:
- Hourly minimum load proposal related to the unit commitment process
- Reference level adjustments and verification processes including reasonableness thresholds
- Dynamic market power mitigation for market-based commitment cost bids
In addition to the workshop, the ISO will add a technical appendix in a revised straw proposal to respond to these requests. The ISO and staff are hosting this workshop to provide a greater opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the design details for this proposal.
Telephone participants will be in a listen-only mode due to the open dialog that takes place in a working group session. To fully participate in the dialog, please plan to attend the meeting in person and RSVP by close of business August 1 at http://www.rsvpbook.com/ISOStakeholderMeeting2017.
The revised straw proposal and working group presentation will be available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/CommitmentCosts_DefaultEnergyBidEnhancements.aspx by close of business August 1.
Please submit comments on the working group meeting and revised straw proposal to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business August 7.
