As part of a monthly recurring series, the ISO has scheduled an Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources (ESDER) Phase 2 Implementation customer partnership group call on March 27, 2018 to explore the current changes related to the implementation of this initiative.
ESDER Phase 2 implementation, scheduled for October 1, 2018, will impact the technology associated with DR settlements for scheduling coordinators and DR providers, within such areas as baseline approvals, baseline and performance calculations, performance submittals to the ISO, and stakeholder internal processes. Therefore, the ISO continues to seek stakeholder questions and comments regarding implementation for discussion on these calls.
The updated ESDER Phase 2 Business Requirements Specification has been posted on the Release Planning webpage at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/BusinessRequirementsSpecification-EnergyStorage_DistributedEnergyResourcesPhase2.pdf. Draft versions of baseline methodology templates are available for review in the ESDER customer partnership group section on the following webpages:
