The California ISO has posted the updated preliminary 2020 Resource Adequacy (RA) Net Qualifying Capacity (NQC) and Effective Flexible Capacity (EFC) data on its website at http://www.caiso.com/planning/Pages/ReliabilityRequirements/Default.aspx.
Comments and suggestions related to the NQC values must be submitted through the Customer Interface Resource Adequacy Resources (CIRA) system and suggestions for units to be added to the “Other tab” must be submitted through the Customer Inquiry, Dispute and Information (CIDI) system with the following subject line “2020 NQC Other tab” by close of business Sept. 8, 2019. Comments and suggestions related to the EFC values must be submitted through CIDI with the following subject line “2020 EFC questions” by Sept. 1, 2019.
If no modifications are requested for EFC by Sept. 1, 2019, and for NQC by Sept. 8, 2019, the ISO will use the posted values for the RA compliance year 2020.
Scheduling coordinators may submit comments to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) at RAFiling@cpuc.ca.gov.
