Executive Appeals Committee Hearing 12/1/20, Expedited Appeals Process Posted


The California ISO will host an Executive Appeals Committee hearing on Dec 1, 2020 to consider any appeals of Proposed Revision Request (PRR) 1280. The ISO has adopted an expedited appeals process for this PRR, which is available on the BPM Change Management webpage at


The ISO BPM Change Management process enables the ISO and affected parties to propose and track all requested changes to ISO Business Practice Manuals, called PRRs. The process also includes the right to appeal a final decision for reconsideration on a PRR to an appeals committee consisting of ISO executives.


During the public session, the committee will hear from the appellants, ISO staff, and other interested stakeholders on PRR 1280. This PRR affects the Reliability Requirements BPM.


The activity deadlines in the PRR 1280 appeals process are:




Nov. 13, 2020

Stakeholders must submit a Notice of Appeal through the BPM Change Management site by this date.

Nov. 23, 2020

Appellant and ISO briefs due to

Non-appellant stakeholders may also submit comments regarding the PRR.

Dec. 1, 2020

Executive Appeals Committee hearing

Dec. 9, 2020

ISO posts written decision of Executive Appeals Committee

Dec. 16, 2020

If appeal is granted, ISO implements Executive Appeals Committee decision.

Dec. 16-17, 2020

If the Appeal is denied, Appellant may bring issue to the ISO Board of Governors at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
