Contingency reserve cost allocation (completed)

Outcome: On Sept. 29, 2014 FERC approved the ISO's proposed tariff amendments to revise its settlement rules to align the allocation of its contingency reserve costs with certain new contingency reserve procurement requirements effective October 1, 2014.—Implemented: Oct. 1, 2014; FERC approval: Sept. 29, 2014; Tariff amendment filing: July 30, 2014 (ER14-2536); Board of Governors approval: July 15, 2014

This initiative will propose modifications to the cost allocation of contingency reserves. The initiative will seek to align the cost allocation with WECC’s new standard for calculating contingency reserve requirements for balancing authority areas effective October 1, 2014.
