What topics will be covered?
The session will cover new OASIS reports related to the Imbalance Reserve Requirement Calculations. Imbalance reserves provide the market with a mechanism to address each Balancing Authority Area's expected range of uncertainty when comparing the day-ahead load forecast to real-time consumption and comparing solar and wind forecasts to their real-time outputs.
Who should attend?
The primary audience for this training is staff supporting Scheduling Coordinators who are directly involved in:
- Day-Ahead Market operations, including resource scheduling and bid submission
- Forecasting teams responsible for load, solar, and wind forecasts
- Market analysis and settlements personnel who review and validate Imbalance Reserve requirements posted on the ISO's OASIS interface
- Staff whose role impacts or is impacted by Day-Ahead operations and management of Imbalance Reserves
- Staff whose responsibility it is to ensure adherence to EDAM and DAME participation rules
