Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) Training for Intertie Scheduling Readiness

What topics will be covered?   

The California ISO (CAISO) will host a training webinar on February 11, 2026, to provide an overview of the changes to intertie scheduling and modeling associated with the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) go-live.

During this session, the CAISO customer readiness and training team will host a training session illustrating what remains the same and what is changing in relation to intertie schedules and modeling on CAISO interties with EDAM, WEIM, and non-market balancing areas across a transitional period.  The training session will include discussion of scheduling of RA imports across the different interties and reassignment functionality applicable in limited instances for RA imports.

This training is intended for Scheduling Coordinators operating within the CAISO Balancing Authority Area, entities planning to participate in EDAM, and anyone involved in Western energy markets who would like to stay informed.
