You can now follow the ISO on Bluesky
Beginning today, January 27, anyone interested in staying informed about the California Independent System Operator (ISO) and matters affecting the electrical grid will have another social media option to help keep up to date – Bluesky Social.
The ISO is creating two different Bluesky Social accounts, California ISO and Flex Alert, to engage with the public on a variety of issues related to the high-voltage transmission system and information about Flex Alerts that call for voluntary conservation under certain strained conditions on the grid.
“It makes sense to participate on this social media platform as some of our audience have transitioned to Bluesky,” said Jayme Ackemann, Director of Communications. “Using Bluesky will allow us to continue engaging with that audience while expanding our reach to keep the public informed on our efforts to reliably manage an evolving high-voltage transmission system and the energy market.”
The ISO will continue sharing information about the grid, electricity markets and other related issues on the social media platforms it has been using for some time, including X, formerly known as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
