2023-2024 Transmission Planning Process: Approved Project Sponsor for the New Humboldt to Fern Road 500kV Transmission Line Project

The California ISO has issued Business Practice Manual Proposed Revision Request 1625 that allows the ISO to delay selection of an approved project sponsor in connection with a competitive solicitation under specified circumstances. The ISO is delaying selection of an approved project sponsor to finance, construct, own, operate, and maintain the New Humboldt to Fern Road 500kV Transmission Line Project.  This will allow the ISO to conduct additional commercial and risk management due diligence before selecting an approved project sponsor.
