2025-2026 Transmission Planning Process: Draft transmission plan posting on 3/31/26; meeting on 4/7/26

The California ISO will host a hybrid public stakeholder meeting for the 2025-2026 Transmission Planning Process to discuss the 2025-2026 draft transmission plan on Apr. 7, 2026. The draft transmission plan will be available on the 2025-2026 transmission planning process webpage by end of day Mar. 31, 2026.

Attendees may choose to participate in person at the ISO, or virtually. If you plan to attend the meeting in person, please register by end of day Mar. 27, 2026.

Each year, the ISO conducts its transmission planning process to identify potential system limitations as well as opportunities for system reinforcements that improve reliability and efficiency. The 2025-2026 transmission planning cycle involves key stakeholder activities from 2025 through early 2026.

The plan reflects a new more proactive approach to transmission planning and seeks to better synchronize decisions related to power and transmission planning, interconnection queuing, and resource procurement.
