2025 Annual import allocation process: Step 10 remaining import capability posted

The California ISO has posted the remaining import capability per branch group to its website pursuant to Step 10 of the annual import allocation process. Pursuant to Step 11 of the ISO Tariff 40.4.6.2.1, the ISO will accept Step 11 requests for remaining import capability today through close of business Aug. 1, 2024.

The ISO will post results from Step 11 in its Step 12 posting. The Step 12 posting will indicate the start date and time that the ISO will begin accepting Step 13 requests.

All transfers and requests for assignment must be submitted in CIRA (under Plans > Manage Import Allocation > Remaining Import Capability > Remaining Import Capability Steps).

Training for the new automation process was conducted on May 2, 2024. The presentation and video recording can be found on the ISO's Training center under Releases, initiatives, and readiness notes.
