2026 Import Capability Assignment Process Step 1

For resource adequacy purposes, the California ISO will assign total available import capacity on an annual basis for a one-year term to load serving entities serving load in the ISO balancing authority area and to other market participants through their respective scheduling coordinators.

Per the ISO Tariff Section 40.4.6.2.1, the import capability assignment is a multi-step process. In accordance with step one of this process, the ISO has posted the ISO Maximum Resource Adequacy Import Capability for Year 2026 to its website.
