500kV Lines Rating Reinstatement for Pacific Gas and Electric, Effective 6/5/24

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has completed various projects to reinstate critical 500kV line ratings. This restores ratings for a number of 500 kV lines on the PG&E transmission system after derates occurred 2023. Please refer to 500kV Lines Rating Update for Pacific Gas and Electric, Effective 5/1/2023 for changes occurred in 2023.

The California ISO has conducted studies and analysis to facilitate the proposed rating changes. The operational impacts has been implemented in the ISO’s reliability applications. The corresponding market congestion management updates will be implemented in Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market, the Day-Ahead Market and the Real-Time Market.

Updated CRR July monthly model will reflect the appropriate changes. Please refer to CRR FNM model for more details.
