Access Identity Management Enhancement to streamline Market Results Interface-Settlements access requests

The California ISO is planning to implement an Access Identity Management (AIM) enhancement to streamline access requests for the Market Results Interface - Settlements (MRI-S) with implementation on Oct. 1, 2026. The Metering Business Practice Manual (BPM) proposed language changes will be discussed during the Aug. and Sep. BPM Change Management meetings. 

The User Access Administrator (UAA) for the Metered Entity will utilize the Endorsed User Access options in AIM to designate other authorized users that are allowed to access the Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) relating to the Metered Entity. Metering agreement schedules will no longer be utilized to designate authorized users. 

After the Metering BPM language has been reviewed and approved through the BPM Change Management process, the ISO Regulatory Contracts team will revise existing and future metering agreement schedules to include this language: 

• Meter Service Agreement for CAISO Metered Entities (MSACAISOME) Schedule 3: 
  “The CAISO Metered Entity has designated in CAISO’s Access Identity Management tool the authorized users that are allowed to access the SQMD relating to the CAISO Metered Entity.”

• Meter Service Agreement for Scheduling Coordinators (MSASC) Schedule 5: 
  “The Scheduling Coordinator has designated in CAISO’s Access Identity Management tool the authorized users that are allowed to access the SQMD relating to their Scheduling Coordinator Metered Entities.”
