Ancillary Service Focus Group: Draft attestation documents posted; comment deadline extended to 5/27/25

The California ISO has extended the comment deadline to May 27, 2025, for the Ancillary Service Focus Group held on May 5, 2025, and posted draft attestation documents for stakeholder review and feedback. 

During the May 5 focus group session, the group discussed that the ISO administers a verification, compliance testing, and auditing program under Section 8 of its tariff to ensure availability of committed Ancillary Services. ISO tariff section 8.9 requires all Ancillary Service Providers to check, monitor and/or test their system and related equipment routinely to assure availability of the committed Ancillary Services. The ISO is proposing to implement an attestation as an additional form of resource performance verification to ensure availability of committed Ancillary Services. The attestation would verify that an Ancillary Service Provider has met these requirements and supports the ISO’s overall Ancillary Services verification, compliance testing, and auditing program. 

The ISO is seeking stakeholder feedback on the draft templates of the Ancillary Services Provider Attestation and Attachment A: Attestation Criteria, which are available on the Miscellaneous Meetings page under the May 5 Ancillary Services Focus Group #2 heading.
