Markets Information TechnologyConsolidation of Technical User Group and Release User Group meetings
The California ISO will consolidate the Technical User Group (TUG) meeting into the Release User Group (RUG) meeting, effective Aug. 18, 2026.
Going forward, technical topics that were previously addressed in the TUG forum will be incorporated into a dedicated technical segment within the RUG agenda. This change is intended to streamline stakeholder engagement by providing a single forum for release planning, project updates, implementation activities, and related technical discussions.
The combined format will:
- Reduce the number of recurring meetings for stakeholders
- Improve visibility of technical considerations alongside release planning and project updates
- Provide a more efficient forum for project teams and market participants
- Streamline meeting coordination and communications
The first combined meeting will be the Release User Group (RUG) meeting on Aug. 18, 2026. Meeting recordings will be made available on the Release User Group (RUG) webpage.
The ISO appreciates your continued participation and looks forward to discussing both release and technical topics in this consolidated forum.
