Demand and Distributed Energy Market Integration meeting on 8/21/26, comments due 9/4/26

The California ISO (ISO) will host a virtual stakeholder meeting for the Demand and Distributed Energy Market Integration (DDEMI) initiative on Aug. 21, 2026. The meeting will focus on the DDEMI Track 1 Revised Draft Final Proposal. The proposal introduces targeted metering reforms to better capture behind-the-meter demand response capabilities by recognizing customer-level exports within a resource-level load curtailment framework. 

Written comments on the Track 1 Revised Draft Final Proposal and the discussion are due by end of day on Sep. 4, 2026. Comments must be submitted using the ISO’s commenting tool available on the Demand and Distributed Energy Market Integration initiative webpage.

Meeting materials will be posted on the initiative webpage prior to the meeting. The meeting will be recorded, and the video will be posted following the meeting.
