Distributed Generation Deliverability Assessment Results posted: Application Process deadline

The California ISO has posted 2025-2026 Deliverability for Distributed Generation Study Results Report Final cycle. Eligible distributed generation facilities that are seeking an initial or increase in deliverability status must apply for deliverability status assignment as described herein.

The ISO is implementing the 2026 cycle of this process by working with utility distribution companies in assigning deliverability status to eligible distributed generation facilities in grid areas, where the ISO's distributed generation deliverability assessment indicated capacity is available to support deliverability status assignments pursuant to ISO Tariff Section 40.4.6.3. The ISO posted the distributed generation deliverability assessment results to its Transmission plan deliverability webpage, under the Deliverability for distributed generation - studies and reports heading.

Investor-Owned Utility Application Process

Owners of distributed generation facilities interconnected or applying for interconnection to an investor-owned utility Participating Transmission Owner’s distribution system seeking an initial or increase in deliverability status must submit an application by 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) Wednesday, April 15, 2026

To obtain the necessary application form and eligibility information, facility owners should contact the appropriate investor-owned utility Participating Transmission Owner, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, or San Diego Gas & Electric Company.

Utility Distribution Company or Metered Subsystem Application Process

Owners of distributed generation facilities interconnected or applying for interconnection to a non-investor-owned Participating Transmission Owner’s utility distribution company or metered subsystem distribution system seeking an initial or increase in deliverability status should contact the appropriate entity listed below for information on eligibility and the application process. Although the ISO Tariff does not stipulate a deadline for submitting applications to these utility distribution companies and metered subsystems, owners must report all deliverability status assignments to the ISO no later than April 30, 2026, for inclusion in the ISO’s net qualifying capacity determination for 2026.
