Enhancement to the Maximum Import bid Price logic to be presented, Market Performance and Planning Forum on 9/18/24

The California ISO will discuss a proposal enhancement to the calculation of the Maximum Import Bid Prices during the Market Performance and Planning Forum on Sept. 18, 2024. Specifically, the ISO is planning to enhance the calculation of the hourly shaping factors used in the determination of the maximum import bid prices.

On May 28, the ISO held a workshop to discuss a white paper that described the current logic. Based on the feedback from market participants and the ISO assessment of the current calculation, the ISO is moving forward with a logic enhancement.
