Markets PlanningGenerator Interconnection Transmission Plan Deliverability allocation schedule update for the 2025 allocation cycle
The due date for affidavits from interconnection customers seeking to obtain or to retain allocations of Transmission Plan Deliverability (TPD) for the 2025 TPD allocation cycle will be Aug. 29, 2025, at 5pm PDT, moved from Sept. 1, 2025, which is Labor Day. The results of the 2025 TPD allocation study are expected to be provided by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
The ISO determined it is able to maintain the due date because of the new policy in the ISO Interconnection Process Enhancement (IPE) track 3 initiative that states:
The ISO will assess affidavits and substantiating documentation based on the documents as submitted by the TPD-seeking or the TPD-retention request due dates. Documents required in the request/retention processes that are not received by the request due date will not be accepted. All documentation must be fully executed and complete when submitted. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted and will result in the request being rejected. The ISO will continue to consult with off-takers and local regulatory authorities where necessary to verify any information or claim.
This policy, which will be a decision item in the ISO Board of Governors meeting on March 26, 2025, will significantly improve efficiency when reviewing the TPD seeking and retention affidavits and related documents.
In addition, the ISO anticipates an Aug. 1, 2025, date for the Intra-Cluster Prioritization affidavits. The ISO will confirm the due date once we receive a FERC order on the Intra-Cluster Prioritization portion of the IPE Track 3 FERC filing.
