MarketsInter-SC Trades in Regional Markets: Draft final proposal posted; call on 9/11/24
The California ISO has published the draft final proposal and will hold a public stakeholder call for the Inter-SC Trades in Regional Markets initiative on Sept. 11, 2024. This call will review received stakeholder comments and discuss the draft final proposal, which is available on the initiative webpage.
The draft final proposal, informed by the supportive stakeholder comments on the straw proposal, continues to propose extension of the inter-SC trades of energy functionality across the wider market footprint to the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) and the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) balancing areas. Inter-SC trades are an optional mechanism and settlement feature to support settlements of aspects of bilateral contracts, and these have no impact on market optimization, scheduling or dispatch.
Please submit written comments on the draft final proposal by end of day, Sept. 16, 2024, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
