New initiative: Inter-SC Trades in Regional Markets Straw Proposal posted, call on 8/20/24

The California ISO has posted the straw proposal for the new Inter-Scheduling Coordinator (SC) Trades in Regional Markets initiative and will hold an associated public stakeholder call on Aug. 20, 2024. This document is available on the initiative webpage.

The document describes existing inter-SC trade functionality and processes as an optional settlement feature, and proposes to extend inter-SC trade functionality, for trades of energy, across the wider market footprint to the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) and Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) balancing areas to support market participant business needs.

Please submit written comments on the straw proposal and stakeholder call by end of day Aug. 30, 2024 through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage linked above.
