Opportunity to update 2025 FERC annual charges payment terms

Scheduling coordinators have the opportunity to update their 2025 Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) annual charges payment term to a monthly or annual settlement for trade year 2025. A scheduling coordinator electing the monthly settlement is assessed the fee for a given trade month under charge code (CC) 550 on the applicable weekly market invoice. A scheduling coordinator electing the yearly settlement is assessed the fee for a given trade month under CC 551 and is issued a separate invoice on the same day as the weekly market invoice. FERC annual charges are included in a scheduling coordinator's estimated aggregate liability calculations and sufficient collateral is required to support credit requirements.

Scheduling coordinators can update their payment term by sending a request as an “Inquiry Ticket” through the Customer Inquiry and Dispute Information (CIDI) system no later than Dec. 16, 2024. The request must specify the payment election (as monthly or annual) and include all applicable business associate IDs. Request submittal is not required to maintain the current payment term.
