Registration for Joint Market Seams Workshop on 9/16/26 now open

The third market seams workshop, held jointly by California ISO (ISO) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) has been scheduled for Sept. 16, 2026, 10 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Mountain Daylight Time. This will be the third workshop in a 4-part series on market seams that explores key issues with industry experts and interested parties. This meeting is hybrid with in-person participation in Golden, CO at the Black Hills Energy office. If you plan to attend in person, please register.

The upcoming Sep. 16, 2026, workshop will focus on transactions across market boundaries, including imports and exports. The agenda will begin with a panel of trading experts discussing cross-border transactions, followed by subject matter experts from SPP and CAISO providing an overview of day-one market rules for imports, exports, and wheels.

 This 4-part seams series addresses principles, problem statements, and technical exploration of market seams issues. We welcome stakeholders from across the West to join the discussion at these workshops. The fourth workshop in October 2026 will be announced in a future notice. Panels will feature market participants from across the region and market experts for both EDAM and SPP’s Markets+.
