Resource Interconnection Standards BPM Stakeholder Review Sessions scheduled

The California ISO (ISO) will host stakeholder review sessions on Oct. 19, Oct. 26, and Nov. 16, 2026, to review the proposed new Resource Interconnection Standards Business Practice Manual (BPM) under Proposed Revision Request (PRR) 1695. Additional stakeholder sessions and an extended comment period are being provided to support review of the proposed BPM language before PRR 1695 returns to the comment process.

The proposed Resource Interconnection Standards BPM is being developed to consolidate and document resource interconnection-related requirements, processes, and responsibilities in a dedicated BPM. Because this proposal introduces a new BPM, the ISO is providing additional opportunities for stakeholders to review the proposed language and discuss provisions requiring clarification. The October sessions will focus on financial provisions, while the November session will address non-financial provisions and stakeholder questions.

Why is the ISO holding additional stakeholder review sessions?

PRR 1695 is currently on hold pending completion of the stakeholder review sessions. Following the sessions, the PRR will return to the initial comment phase, allowing stakeholders to submit comments on the proposed BPM language. Additional stakeholder sessions may be scheduled as needed.

• General provisions and stakeholder questions

• Provisions requiring clarification

• Additional non-financial provisions

What if I am unable to attend the live training?
The session will be recorded and posted to the Business Practice Manual (BPM) change management page within three business days of each session.
