Resource Performance Expectations Refresher Training on 5/28/26

The California ISO will offer a refresher training for resource owners and operators on Resource Performance Expectations on May 28, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time. The goal of the training is to support successful resource management, especially during tight system conditions.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for Resource Owners/Operators and their Scheduling Coordinators who schedule and operate resources in the ISO market and bulk electric system. It is recommended for any Market Participant that has received a dispatch or operating instruction with which they were unable to comply, as well as for those who are new to scheduling in the ISO market or seeking to strengthen their existing knowledge.

What topics will be covered?

This training will include the following topics:

• Describe how resources are expected to respond to dispatch and operating instructions
• Explain the importance of communication before, during, and after testing resources
• Identify the potential compliance consequences due to failure to comply with dispatch and operating instructions
• Describe how to monitor and respond to alarms and instructions in the Automated Dispatch System (ADS)
• Review communication protocols and responsibilities
• Provide accurate and complete information in the outage card
