Save the Date: New Resource Implementation Forum on 10/7/26

The California ISO (ISO) will host a hybrid New Resource Implementation (NRI) Forum on Oct. 7, 2026.

This forum is intended to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders, improve transparency of the NRI process, and provide greater clarity on expectations for bringing new resources online. The ISO will provide a high-level overview of the NRI process, highlight the roles of various business units during NRI reviews, discuss common challenges identified by stakeholders, and share best practices for navigating the process efficiently.

Topics will include:

• Overview of the NRI process and review activities
• Common stakeholder challenges and recommended solutions
• Metering and telemetry requirements
• Preparing resources for grid synchronization
• Real-Time Operations considerations and common issues

The ISO recognizes the complexity of onboarding new resources and remains committed to working closely with stakeholders to support the reliable integration of resources needed to meet California’s clean energy goals.
