MarketsScheduling Coordinator Self-Audit Attestation and Settlement Quality Meter Data Affirmation, due 10/31/24
Scheduling coordinators (SC) who submit settlement quality meter data (SQMD) to the California ISO are required to comply with the ISO Tariff section 10.3.7.5 (SQMD Annual Affirmation) and section 10.3.10.1 (SC Self Audit Attestation).
SCs who submit SQMD to the ISO and who were not participating in the ISO market before April 10, 2017, or that re-power, modify their meter data interval or add generating capacity, must submit a SQMD Plan to the ISO for approval. Annually, the SC must review their approved SQMD Plan and perform a self-assessment to verify they continue to comply with the approved SQMD Plan. The SC must also submit, in writing, a SQMD Plan Affirmation affirming it’s compliance with the SQMD Plan. This Affirmation is due on Oct. 31, 2024.
Additionally, scheduling coordinators are required to bi-annually submit an attestation, signed by management, which attests to their compliance with Tariff Section 10.3.10.1. This SC Self-Audit Attestation is due Oct. 31, 2024.
The ISO will provide Attestation and Affirmation forms to fill out for the SC Self-Audit and the SQMD Affirmation, if applicable. The Scheduling Coordinator should receive these forms by Oct. 3, 2024. The forms will include additional submission instructions. If you believe your organization should have received a form, please be sure to contact the ISO Energy Data Acquisition Systems team at EDAS@caiso.com.
Failure to submit required SQMD Plan Affirmation by the due date is a tariff violation and will result in a Rules of Conduct violation in accordance with ISO Tariff section 37.6.1 until the required SQMD Plan Affirmation is received.
Failure to submit the required SC Self Audit Attestation documentation by the due date is a tariff violation and will result in a Rules of Conduct violation in accordance with ISO Tariff section 37.6.3 until the required SC Self Audit Attestation documentation is received.
