PlanningSubscriber Participating Transmission Owner Model - Business Requirements Specification available; Comments due 8/15/24
The California ISO has published the Subscriber Participating Transmission Owner (PTO) Model Business Requirements Specification (BRS) on the Release Planning webpage. Please submit comments on the Subscriber PTO Model BRS by 15, 2024 5 p.m. Pacific Time via the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
The Subscriber PTO Model is a new service the ISO is making available to transmission with generation projects outside the ISO balancing area to bring generation to meet California’s policy initiatives. The model will support the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) generation portfolios required by the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the state agencies and the ISO. In addition, the Subscriber PTO model will allow for additional transmission to be developed to connect the ISO Balancing Authority Area (BAA) with out-of-state generation.
