Training for the Unwarranted Storage Bid Cost Recovery Project on 9/17/25

The California ISO will host a training webinar on Sept. 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time, to review the features of the Unwarranted Storage Bid Cost Recovery (USBCR) project. This session will cover updates to the calculation of real-time Bid Cost Recovery for Limited Energy Storage Resources (LESRs).

During the training, participants will walk through examples of both “dispatched up” and “dispatched down” scenarios.

The target audience for this training includes CAISO Balancing Authority Area (BAA) Load Serving Entities (LSEs), Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) entities, and storage resource owners.

A recording of the webinar will be available in the ISO Training Center within three business days after the session.
