Update: Price Formation Enhancements Phase 2 working group call rescheduled from 1/9/25 to 1/22/25

The California ISO has rescheduled the Price Formation Enhancements (PFE) Phase 2 working group call on Jan. 9, 2025 to Jan. 22, 2025. This session will explore the topic of scarcity pricing.

This session will discuss market-based mechanisms for prices to rise gradually as the risk of shortages increases and the system approaches scarcity conditions. And discuss updates to the value with which to anchor and scale pricing run penalty prices to ensure alignment with current Western Interconnection market conditions and proper scarcity value of reserves.
