Updated meeting time: Price Formation Enhancements: Phase 2 working group call on 1/22/25

The California ISO has updated the meeting time for the Price Formation Enhancements (PFE) Phase 2 working group call on Jan. 22, 2025. This meeting time has been extended and is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This session will discuss market-based mechanisms for prices to rise gradually as the risk of shortages increases and the system approaches scarcity conditions. This session will also discuss updates to the value with which to anchor and scale pricing run penalty prices to ensure alignment with current Western Interconnection market conditions and proper scarcity value of reserves.

We encourage stakeholders to share their views on this topic during the session. Please contact Brenda Marquez at bmarquez@caiso.com to arrange a presentation by end of day Jan. 17, 2025.
