WEM Governing Body, Joint, ISO Board of Governors virtual meetings on 11/6/24-11/7/24; early document posting

The California ISO posted documents related to the upcoming decision regarding implementing the Step 1 proposal of the West-Wide Governance Pathways initiative, including a memorandum to the ISO Board of Governors and the Western Energy Markets (WEM) Governing Body, which will be discussed and considered at their joint general session meeting on Nov. 7, 2024. The draft agenda for that and the other scheduled governance meetings on November 6 and 7 will be noticed on Oct. 30, 2024.

The documents are posted on the Governance and Committees and WEM Governing Body webpages and include the following: Proposed amendments to the Charter for the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) and Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) Governance, corporate bylaws, Decisional Classification Guidance for the WEM Governing Body, and draft language to section 15 of the ISO tariff.

The remaining materials for the general session meetings will be available on the WEM Governing Body webpage on October 30 and on the Governance and Committees webpage on October 31.

The general public has the opportunity to comment on items both on and off the agenda. Comments on off-agenda items will be addressed at the beginning of meetings. If submitting a public comment letter, please submit a minimum of one week prior to meetings to allow enough time for review by the ISO Board of Governors and/or the WEM Governing Body.
