Western Energy Markets Regional Issues Forum meeting on 6/16/26

The Western Energy Markets (WEM) Regional Issues Forum (RIF) has announced its upcoming hybrid in-person/virtual meeting, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, on June 16, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT, or 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. A reception will follow.

Please join the RIF for an upcoming discussion focused on the performance of the ISO’s Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (DAME) and Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM). This session will provide an opportunity to review overall market performance and discuss any issues identified to date.

As part of the agenda, RIF liaisons will host an educational panel on intertie bidding, including how intertie bidding functions in other organized markets and exploring aspects that may be applicable to the Western region. The meeting will also include a brief update on ongoing efforts to develop a new resource adequacy (RA) program for non-CAISO entities. Interested parties may find additional materials related to this RA effort on the ROWE webpage.

A final agenda will be publicly noticed in advance of the meeting. A reception will follow, providing an opportunity for informal discussion and networking among participants.

The WEM Governing Body will hold its general session regional meeting on June 17, 2026, at the same location.

Please complete the registration form by June 12, 2026, if you plan to attend one or both meetings in person.
